AFSCME Will No Longer Fund United Negro College Fund

7/16/2014
But Here's 10 Groups AFSCME is Still Funding

American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) announced last week that it will no longer support United Negro College Fund (UNCF) because the Koch brothers have donated to UNCF.
In a Huffington Post column, AFSCME President Lee Saunders bashed “the billionaire industrialist Koch brothers, who also fund efforts to suppress voters’ rights and workers’ rights.”
Saunders, who was paid $350,058 last year with money taken from public employees, does not appreciate the Kochs’ support for worker freedom, which protects every worker’s right to choose whether to pay union bosses.
AFSCME bosses’ hatred for Charles and David Koch apparently outweighs AFSCME bosses’ concern for black students. Meanwhile, here are ten groups America’s fourth-largest labor union does not plan to stop funding.

AFSCME is a partner of secretive far-left activist group America Votes, donating $1,410,000 in 2012 and $333,333 in 2013.
America Votes is also funded by “progressive” billionaire George Soros, but AFSCME bosses are fine with that.
HCANHealth Care for America Now (HCAN)
AFSCME was a founder of HCAN, a socialized medicine lobbying group that helped ram Obamacare through Congress by holding rallies and distributing propaganda throughout 2009.
AFSCME gave HCAN $700,000 in 2013 and $475,000 in 2012 to help the coalition continue to promote Obamacare.
CAPCenter for American Progress (CAP)

Americans United for ChangeAmericans United for Change
Americans United for Change is devoted to helping “to pass the transformational legislation coming out of the Obama White House.”
AFSCME gave $1,375,000 to Americans United for Change in 2012, and gave another $1,075,000 in 2013.
NANNational Action Network (NAN)
MSNBC host and notorious race hustler Al Sharpton’s NAN received $216,500 from AFSCME in 2013 and $100,000 from AFSCME in 2012.
