A suspected gang member is behind bars following a chase with police in Starr County.
La Grulla police arrested Jesus Villegas Jr. late Sunday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that an officer tried to pull Villegas over for ignoring a stop sign off Highway 83 and FM 2360.
Police said Villegas said led officers on a chase that ended in the Pete Solis subdivision.
Officers discovered that Villegas had an undocumented immigrant in his car.
Authorities charged Villegas with evading arrest and human smuggling.
Police later learned that Villegas is a member of the Valluco prison gang.
