Mexican Gangs UPDATE: Warrant issued for “El Pollo” in connection to auto-theft ring


One suspect has been arrested and another is sought in connection to a McAllen auto-theft ring.
McAllen police are searching for Martin Cruz Guillen, also known as “El Pollo."
Guillen is wanted on a third degree felony theft charge, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Hidalgo police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-350 when they discovered it had been stolen out McAllen.
The driver, Jorge Saldana, was arrested and transported to the McAllen Police Department for processing.
Authorities said the owner of the F-350 was unaware the vehicle had been taken from the driveway of a McAllen home.
Saldana’s bond was set at $30,000, and he was booked into the Hidalgo County Jail on the felony charge.
Through the investigation, authorities discovered Guillen was involved in the crime.
