A mother is recovering after police say she was attacked by her own son.
The 19-year-old did the unthinkable to his mother, and right now she is recovering after being kicked, body slammed and slapped by her own son.
The mother does not want to file criminal charges against her son, Frederic Martinez.
The San Benito police report shows 19-year old Martinez came home drunk, and began attacking his mom because she called him too much throughout the night.
The woman was recovering from surgery, so when police arrived they noticed she was bleeding from her open wounds.
San Benito police said this is not the first time this has happened, but the mother has never pressed charges.
Martinez is not stranger to the law, and he has been arrested before for charges including public intoxication.
"It’s usually because of the same thing because he gets home upset sometimes under the influence and you know he argues with (his) mom," Detective Rogelio Banda said about the incident.
Once Martinez was detained, he tried to pull away and began kicking an officer, police say.
Martinez is behind bars and has been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest search or transportation and assault on a public servant.
The 19-year-old San Benito man’s bond is set at $48,000.
