A man remains behind bars under a half million dollar bond after being accused of sexually abusing a little girl in Pharr.
Pharr police arrested Jose "Chepo" Gonzalez on an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge last week.
Court records released to Action 4 News this morning show that the 26-year-old man is accused of raping a little girl back in May.
Gonzalez allegedly paid the girl $1 dollar to "touch her" but the records show that he went much further that and sexually assaulted her.
The girl allegedly told her mother that "Chepo" had given her a $1 dollar and then told her what he did.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse but the records show that Gonzalez knew the girl through her family.
An investigation ended with police securing on arrest warrant last Thursday.
Gonzalez remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $500,000 dollar bond and an immigration detainer.
