A man is out on bond after he was arrested for choking his girlfriend while she was asleep with her son.
It happened back in September on the 6200 block of Soledad Street in Edinburg.
Hidalgo County Deputies said Javier Rodriguez crawled into the bedroom through the window where the victim was sleeping.
Documents stated the 21-year-old snuck in the window because the bedroom door was locked.
Rodriguez reportedly pinned the victim down and bit her right arm.
Deputies told Action 4 News Rodriguez grabbed the victim’s throat and choked her to the point where she couldn’t breathe.
Investigators arrested the 21-year-old man on an assault family/house member impede breath charge.
Rodriguez bonded out of the Hidalgo County Jail Christmas Eve on a $2,5000 bond.
