Anchor Babies In The News: Man tried to "lure" girl away from family at flea market

A Hidalgo County man is behind bars after allegedly touched a girl and tried to lure her away from her family while attending a concert at a local flea market.
Alamo police arrested 38-year-old Daniel Escobedo on an enticing a child charge on Sunday night.
Investigators told Action 4 News that police officers were called to the Alamo Flea Market off North Cesar Chavez Road.
Escobedo, the girl and her family were all among people attending an event at the flea market's dance hall, known as the Mercadome.
Alamo. Police Sgt. Lupita Valdez said Escobedo touched the girl and kept signaling her to come with him.
Sgt. Valdez said the girl said "no" but Escobedo kept insisting that she leave with him.
The girl told her family, who reported the incident to off-duty Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies working security at the dance hall.
Escobedo remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $7,000 dollar bond and an immigration detainer.
