Man arrested after raping teen multiple times
A man is behind bars after he allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl multiple times.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Deputies originally responded to a domestic dispute call on the 38000 block of Miguel Street in Penitas Monday.
They came in contact with a woman who said her niece had been raped by Ramiro Cortazar.
The Children’s Advocacy Center spoke with the 13-year-old where she reportedly admitted that 59-year-old had sexually assaulted her.
Investigators said Cortazar he allegedly admitted to the assaults.
The 59-year-old was arrested on aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual assault, but Cortazar did have contact of the victim through family.
He remains behind bars at the Hidalgo County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
